Alienation Recruitment is looking for an experienced electrical technician to assemble, evaluate and maintain electrical systems of predominantly portable equipment.

The electrical technicians do not only design electrical systems but will also identify potential problems in design.
As an electrical technician, you need to read electrical system design plans. This should conclude with recommendations in improvements, whilst calibrating instruments, and diagnose faulty equipment. You must be able to operate in planned maintenance procedures, effectively and safely within competence, experience; qualifications, and skill set.
You must also have an ability to deal with damage within competence, experience; qualifications, and skillset as needed. Likewise, you know how to write maintenance reports for Building Maintenance Activities. You must assist in the training of maintenance staff involved in similar activities.
You need to carry out the assessment; maintenance and repairs to various electrical systems including equipment and services on-site, where necessary and within competence, experience; qualifications, and skill set. Furthermore, you need to diagnose faults on Electrical support systems to alter where necessary and competence, experience; qualifications, and skill set. You need to follow detailed drawings and operational maintenance manuals in order to carry out all planned maintenance, routine inspections, and reactive repairs.
You should always act as LV AP undertaking specialist works including the planning of any subcontractor works and shift electrician whilst acting as health and safety promoter. Not only that, but you must assist in the development of maintenance routines, procedures, risk assessments, preparing and maintaining relevant technical records.
You must have a teamwork mindset with other workers to develop cross-selling and cover every aspect/level of maintenance work. You must involve in emergency call-out arrangements and provide cover where necessary during sickness absence periods.
Qualified and experienced in an electrical engineering discipline (NVQ Level 2 in Electrical services or equivalent)
18th Edition (IET) Wiring Regulations
Building and facilities maintenance experience
Working to AP status
Electrical engineering NVQ 3 level
Electrical Safety & Part P
HV AP trained to work towards AP status
Periodic Inspection and Testing
Portable Appliance Testing; in particular City and Guilds or EAL
HTM requirements comprehension
